It’s fitting that we celebrated a great week of events focusing on the contributions that postdocs make to research at Tufts at Aeronaut Brewing Co.
Aeronaut was founded in 2014 by three MIT PhDs, Ben, Ron and Dan. Since then, Aeronaut has grown in popularity (and makes amazing beer!).
Our Capstone event included a personal tour by Ron of the facilities,
A great introduction to brewing with (of course) a discussion of biochemistry and a sampling of Aeronaut’s finest.
We ended the evening sharing our pizza with the folks at the adjacent table and playing vintage Nintendo via the brewery wall projector.
See you at the next event!
Postdoc Appreciation Week Kick Off Event: Discovering your value proposition with Career Strategist Sarah Cardozo Duncan
This past Saturday, Sept. 19th, we celebrated the start of Post Doc Appreciation Week with a workshop by Career Strategist Sarah Cardozo Duncan. Sarah’s career development workshop focused on “How to Find a Job in Difficult Times”.
Sarah walked 30+ Tufts postdocs and invited guests through how to determine individual strengths and how to clearly articulate value to prospective employers.
We enjoyed networking during a great BBQ lunch thanks to the help of Tufts PDA Executive committee members Lisa Hawver and Jodi Benenson. Thanks, guys!
We ended the day with more networking and practicing our career stories. Thanks to all who attended and hope to see you at the rest of the Post Doc Appreciation Week events!
